Reviews & Scores
This is quite firmly reduced and unreadable today. The sleeker and more mineral-driven if less opulent middle weight flavors possess excellent detail on the saline, balanced and beautifully persistent finish. - BH

Fullish yellow with a waxy fruit on the nose. Powerful on the palate too with pineapple notes, but this si not showing the desired finesse of Puligny. The middle needs to fill out further as it is currently showing more oak than fruit, leaving a dry finish. - JM

Bright, pale yellow with green highlights. Classic nervy Puligny scents of white peach, minerals, crushed stone and hazelnut. Less thick and concentrated than the Referts but with lovely freshness and lift to its white peach and mineral flavors. This conveys an impression of higher acidity but that's probably due to the wine's lighter weight and underlying minerality. Vibrant and well made, from a crop level of about 40 hectoliters per hectare. - VM

Tasted blind, the 2015 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières also put in a solid performance, displaying scents of ripe citrus, white flowers, crushed chalk and struck match, with some nicely integrated creamy new oak in the background. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, tense and bright, with a tangy line of acidity and a mouthwatering, focused finish. With some more bottle age, it could be even better—assuming it ages consistently. - WA
