The May Hong Kong Auction is coming up this week, on Friday and Saturday May 27th and 28th. Get ready for non-stop action over two days and an estimated HK$80 million in sales! In Lots 635-811 we feature Amazing Burgundy from The Collection of the Golden Bull. We are thrilled to welcome back this brilliant collection, this time offering 175+ lots and an amazing opportunity to stock up on top Bordeaux and Champagne, but mainly Burgundy. Dynamic in all aspects of his life, the Golden Bull is tremendously passionate about Burgundy and has had his finger on the pulse of this special region and the fine wine market as a whole for many years. Most of the wines are in their original packaging and everything is in outstanding condition.

Lots 117-241 hail from this hospitality maven who made his mark in the hotel business all over Asia for several decades. He passionately collected wines over the last thirty years focusing on Bordeaux with healthy helpings of Burgundy, Rhone, Champagne, and Italy.
Bordeaux includes greats such as 1990 Angelus, 2000 Ausone, 1989 Cheval Blanc, 2000 Haut Brion, 1989 La Mission, 2000 Lafite, 1990 Margaux, 2003 Montrose, and 1994 Petrus! Many additional classified growths lead us to special mention of ten selections of Lafleur going back to a full case of 1990!! Red Burgundy unleashes Rousseau, Vogue, Leroy, Meo-Camuzet, Ponsot, and nine selections of DRC including 1985s from all the red Grand Crus crested by Romanee Conti itself! Finest Bordeaux From the Depths of the Forbidden Cellar
The May Hong Kong Auction, which will take place on Friday and Saturday May 27th and 28th, is teeming with incredible selections, including more than 140 lots from the Forbidden Cellar. This exceptional collection, featuring the finest Bordeaux of the last century, will kick off the second session of this robust two-day sale in Lots 493-634. This is one of the first cellars we encountered on our travels to Hong Kong and certainly among the finest. This Asian businessman has many diverse holdings and has been collecting for nearly 35 years! We have been asking, basically begging, him to consign for many years now and to our delight he has finally acquiesced and come through with just a small portion of his mammoth cellar.
This consignment is all Bordeaux focusing on the best vintages of the second half of last century including 1961, 1982, 1989 and 1990. There are case quantities and more of different formats, particularly a delectable array of half bottles, perhaps the finest we have ever seen! The seminal 1982 vintage is large and in charge, including Mouton, Lafleur, Margaux, Cheval Blanc, Canon, La Mission, Haut Brion, and Trotanoy! 1961 Palmer is on the block, 1989 offers Haut Brion, La Mission, Petrus, and Lynch Bages, and 1990 serves up LaFleur, Cheval Blanc, Angelus, Latour, Petrus, and more. All in all, this is an impressive selection of finest Bordeaux and worthy of your full attention!
